Designing the Costume Character
You have the design and artwork? Great! We love to take existing artwork and bring it to life. We will insure that the costume duplicates the artwork.
You have the costume character style in mind but no artwork? Our artists will be happy to design the mascot for you.
Not sure what you want? We will start by sending drawings from our Illustration Library to be used as idea starters. Once you have an idea of what will work for you, we’ll begin to refine the design.
Production Capabilities
We are adept at creating a single costume character or manufacturing in mass production. So whether your business has one location or many, we are fully capable of meeting your needs.
Production Time
Production time for most single costume projects is 8-10 weeks. However, it varies according to the needs of our clients, availability of materials, complexity of design, and our current workload.
Costume Pricing
Most first-time or prototype costume characters will cost, on average, between $5,500.00 - $7,000.00. Once your design has been established, we will bid your project based on design complexity and recommended materials.
Stock Costume Character Mascots
While our specialty is custom, made to order characters, we do offer a small line of stock costume characters ranging in price from $1850.00 to $3,763.00. Our reticulated foam stock characters can be customized with the color of your choice and/or by adding the character or company name.
Costume Character Maintenance
We offer costume maintenance and refurbishment services for all of our characters as well as those made by other companies. The extent of the work performed is up to you, but normally includes: total cleaning, repairs, and replacement of parts when necessary. Should you wish, your mascot can be set up on a Maintenance Reminder Program. Ask for more details.
Character Program Management
Cowan Costumes can help you alleviate the hassles of storing and shipping your costume/s to various store locations, special events, trade shows, etc., by managing your costume character program for you. We can store your character/s when not in use plus make all of the necessary shipping arrangements. Just let us know what we can do to help and we will develop a program specially suited to your needs.
